New blog

Posted by Angela Beesley on July 4, 2006 (Wiki, Wikimedia)

I bought the Wikisearch.org domain name back when Wikia was a search engine. It’s not been one of those for a long time, so the name is less relevant to me now. WikiAngela seemed to be one of the few wiki* domains left, and it’s what I’d been using as an IM name when I couldn’t get “Angela”, so I decided to move here. I’ve also finally moved my hosting so I can now have WordPress and MediaWiki here. I’m purposefully leaving the old blog behind rather than importing it here. Since I announced my resignation from the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation last week, it seems a good time to move away from some old sites.

Angela, best of luck with the new blog. But white on red is soooo hard on the eyes. Please?

I assumed most people read blogs in their RSS reader and therefore don’t see any colors or formatting anyway. Perhaps that was just wishful thinking since my blog is always a mess. The advantage of a wiki is that other people can fix that sort of thing. :)
